Intelligent Function Keys* provide quick access to any CATIA function. Get visual feedback on the SpacePilot or SpacePilot PRO LCD and watch functions update automatically as you move from one application environment to another. Personalize the function keys quickly and easily inside any environment such as Sketch, Part Modeling, Assembly, Drawing and more.

Use the mouse to sketch while simultaneously using the 3D mouse to optimally position the work plane. Inspect your sketch from multiple positions. Initiate commands such as Normal View, Hide/Show, Swap Visible Space and Exit Workbench with the Intelligent Function Keys. Toggle rotation on and off with the 3D lock / Rotations button.

View a model from different view angles with the 3D mouse while simultaneously adjusting the size of a feature with the mouse. Drag and copy or drag and move features using the mouse while positioning the part with the 3D mouse. Access functions like Shift, Ctrl, Alt and Esc, Fit all In, Top/Front/Left/ Right View, Chamfer, Fillet, Hole and others with using the Keyboard Modifier and Intelligent Function Keys.

Building assemblies with a 3D mouse is simple; position the complete assembly as you insert, or remove components. When using CATIA’s Snap function, the 3D mouse helps you find the optimum view angle for selecting mating faces of components.
